Description

The Aurora Audio GT500 is a 500 series microphone preamp that brings the legendary GTQ2 sound to the 500 series format. Hand-built in North Hollywood, California, the GT500 features all Class A discrete circuitry with transformer balanced inputs and outputs.

The GT500 uses the same input and output transformers that have made the GTQ2 famous. These transformers are made to Geoff Tanner's exacting specifications by the old Marinair crew in the United Kingdom, giving you the warm yet extremely punchy sound that only great iron can provide.

With 80dB of available gain, the GT500 is ideal for cleanly amplifying everything from low power ribbon mics to classic dynamic mics and high output condensers. The adjustable input impedance allows you to match the preamp to your microphone for optimal sound quality.

The GT500 also features Aurora Audio's renowned DI input with 10Megohm input impedance. This allows for a full frequency experience when recording bass, keyboards, or any instrument with a high impedance output.

Whether you're tracking vocals, instruments, or using it as a DI, the GT500 delivers the classic Class A British sound that has made Aurora Audio famous around the world.
